In Sarah Bloodworth‘s own words: When I was little I wanted to be a pirate, but that didn’t work out. Now I’m utilizing my curiosity to explore and learn by pursuing journalism at The University of Texas. I grew up in a small Texas town called Cedar Creek where I quickly learned that I enjoyed writing more than pirating. I began writing short stories at a young age and founded my passion for journalism in high school through the yearbook program. I aspire to be one day become a science journalist because I feel the field of science communication is exciting and necessary in today’s climate. I now work as a senior science reporter at The Daily Texan and look forward to finding my own kind of treasure – stories.
Join us for Banner Brunch on April 8 to congratulate one of the smartest pirates you’ll ever meet.
