Get Involved

The number one way to make the most out of your Women Communicators of Austin membership is to take advantage of our chapter’s best networking opportunity: volunteering.

Not yet a member? Volunteering is a great way to get to know our organization—you don’t have to be a member to volunteer!

WCA has many great opportunities under our board committees.

When you’re ready to sign up, fill out our volunteer form. Not sure what opportunity is best for you? Fill out the form and we’ll help you!

The Programs committee coordinates WCA’s @Lunch and @Night programming, alternating every other month. Members and guests learn about the latest communication trends from industry leaders and ask questions about new techniques and technologies in the field. Have videography skills? The programs committee is looking for a volunteer to shoot and edit lunch and evening events.

Be a part of the WCA’s 45th annual Banner Brunch, a spring-time event that honors the top communicators in central Texas and awards scholarships to outstanding communications students at area colleges and universities. The committee is currently looking for super smart, savvy, and friendly team players to Chair or Co-Chair Committees. Opportunities include:  Silent Auction, Sponsorship, Awards Video, Publicity, Logistics, Publications, and Registration.

The committee oversees WCA’s job bank, mentor program, resume review, Careers over Coffee, and the UT Student Group.
