Attention communications students! WCA is reorganizing our student services so that we continue investing in your future by helping our communications students grow and succeed well into their professional years.
Our mission is to provide unparalleled opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students in the communications field by helping each student evolve their knowledge base, build their network, gain resume-worthy skills and search for post-graduate career opportunities.
This year we’re trying something a little different.
Previous Student Career Services efforts focused mainly on building and nurturing student partnerships through WCA Student Chapters at Texas State University and The University of Texas at Austin. This year, we’re pivoting to focus on faculty advisor partnerships across all area universities and community colleges.
We’re giving students direct access to our mentors, resume reviewers, internship and job postings, volunteer opportunities, professional development, and networking events, and a vast knowledge-base of industry trends that matter.
And while we’re giving students access to these valuable member benefits at a dramatically reduced cost, we’re also planning some special perks just for them.
