A creative strategist with a background in opinion formation and public relations, Roberta found her perfect fit in providing marketing communications services across a broad spectrum of platforms through her own agency, Scripta Communications.
During her career, she has worked with clients, both large and small, along with a variety of associations and non-profits. Her copywriting skills and media relations expertise earned numerous awards and accolades locally, regionally and nationally.
After relocating to Austin, Texas, she joined a Launch Pad team to develop a strategic marketing plan for Pines and Prairies Land Trust. She also served for one year as a Leadership Austin Fellow working with Hill Country Conservancy on a special project that surveyed key stakeholders to ascertain perceptions about the organization’s purpose, value and future role.
Today, Roberta operates as a solopreneur, often serving as a backup resource for other agency owners.
Joining WCA within months of moving, Roberta is a huge supporter. She has served on various committees as well as on the Board of Directors as VP of Development, VP of Communications and Treasurer. After several years as the marketing liaison for Peer Mentoring, she became an “official” Peer Mentor. She also serves as WCA’s resume review coordinator.
A long-time advocate for pay equity and career advancement for women, Roberta welcomes the opportunity to share her hard-earned knowledge, resources and business acumen with others seeking to expand their horizons and face the challenges of building a business.

• Trying to get your business “off the ground” or just feeling stuck in a rut? I can provide guidance and serve as a sounding board as you navigate your way to the next level.
• Uncertain as to when and how to leave behind the security of a paycheck and launch your own enterprise? The perfect time is a unicorn, but with some thoughtful planning, you build a foundation that makes business ownership possible.
