Quesada_TonyTony Quesada, Managing Editor of the Austin Business Journal (ABJ), will talk about ABJ and the kinds of articles they typically outsource, including do’s and don’ts for those who wish to write for them.

Tony has been a reporter and editor at four newspapers in his 13-year journalism career, including assistant city editor at the El Paso Times and executive editor at a twice-weekly newspaper in Northeast Florida. Most recently, he was a senior reporter at the Jacksonville Business Journal, an affiliate of ABJ, where he covered technology, transportation and logistics, international trade, the military and defense industry, and sports business.
While he was executive editor of the News-Leader in Fernandina Beach, Fla., the paper twice won first place for general excellence among weekly newspapers.

Prior to journalism, Quesada, who grew up in El Paso, served in the Navy as a submarine officer, having graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.
