Those W-9s have arrived and it’s time to hunker down. Yes, it’s tax time year-round for the freelancer, but
that very special day, April 15, loomed before us at this meeting.
Freelance Austin’s guest speaker, Cari Weston, CPA, guided us through what not to do financially as an entrepreneur, how to organize those crazy pieces of paper, how long to save your records and more.
An Arizona State University graduate, Cari has served her community as a CPA for 17 years, most recently as the owner of her own firm. Today, she specifically focuses on individual income tax planning and filings, small- to medium-sized business accounting and tax matters, and consulting (including advanced QuickBooks work) for businesses of all sizes.
You can call Cari (512-814-9647) or e-mail her for more information. You can also visit her website.
The meeting was held at:
Mangia Pizza, 8012 Mesa Drive
Austin, TX 78731
