LuAnn Glowacz has mastered the art of working from home in her pajamas, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. After 15 years in agencies and in non-profit, technology and healthcare PR, she decided to slow down—for her family’s sake—and focus solely on executive ghost writing and editing. She now counts some of the brightest businesses and CEOs from around the nation as her favorite clients for whom she writes and edits blog posts, white papers, industry guides, case studies, opinion articles and, yes, even books.

LuAnn is a longtime volunteer for Freelance Austin, a Women Communicators of Austin special interest group. And, over the years, she has served as a guest speaker and panelist for several organizations and events including SXSW Interactive (debating social media flubs), BlogathonATX, Austin Content Marketing Tweetup, GetSmart Austin, IABC, Social Media Breakfast, and Texas State University’s PRSSA and Mass Communications Week, and has been a guest speaker/lecturer at Concordia University and St. Edward’s University.

Best Mentee Fit:

LuAnn is a great resource for mid-level professionals interested in transitioning from full-time to freelance or re-entering the workforce as a freelancer after parenting full-time. She also mentors new communication professionals curious about agency and nonprofit life. And she’s knowledgeable about nontraditional and specialist careers for public relations professionals in search of a niche. She welcomes short-term and remote mentoring opportunities.
