 Roberta Coffin InBug-60px-R

A creative strategist and demand generation specialist who thrives on challenges, Roberta Coffin has an extensive agency background and experience in both B2B and B2C marketing, primarily in housing, real estate, construction, investment and finance.

Starting out in opinion research, she transitioned into public relations and then into advertising. She finally found her perfect fit in providing marketing communications services across a broad spectrum of platforms through her own agency, Scripta Communications. During the course of her career she has worked with all types of clients – large and small, along with a variety of associations and non-profits.

A Californian born and bred, she relocated to Austin in 2016, and continues to work with various clients as a solopreneur and as a freelancer. In early 2019, she completed both the Digital Marketing Certificate and Social Media Specialized Studies programs through the University of California Irvine Extension. And, for 2020, she accepted a part-time Leadership Austin Fellow assignment with Hill Country Conservancy.

A passionate equity advocate, Roberta loves mentoring students starting out on their career paths, professionals seeking new directions and freelancers building out their businesses.

Best Mentee Fit:

Roberta can provide guidance in developing networking strategies (and accountability), running a small business and creating the framework for expanding one’s business. From her own experience, she also can share insights into job hunting, resumes and salary negotiation. She is available for both one-time assistance with a particular issue and short-term mentoring. Her preference is for face-to-face meetings with email and phone follow-ups as needed.
