Getting the Attention of a Professional Communicator is Like Borrowing a Bullhorn

One of the reasons I love being a part of AWC Austin is that the women I meet there are so connected – they seem to know everyone in this town! I know, I know, I shouldn’t be surprised that a group of professional communicators are great networkers. It’s just that I didn’t realize how hugely helpful it would be for my business.

Connections within AWC Austin have brought me everything from new clients, freelance partners, my first Austin employee, and even my house (I’ll save that story for another time). These women make powerful and valuable referrals, and they really take the time to connect and get to know the people and companies that are involved with AWC.

If you’re looking to grow your business, partner with freelancers, hire staff, (and maybe even find a new home), you can’t do better than connecting with the connectors.

Which is why I’m involved with 2012 Banner Brunch, and I hope you will be too. At the very least, make plans to attend on Saturday, April 28th (Tickets go on sale March 1).
