Kerri Qunell PhotoKerri is an accomplished marketing and communications leader with deep experience across the nonprofit, media, tech, and education sectors. She currently serves as Director of Marketing and Communications at The Texas Tribune, where she leads a dynamic team in amplifying the organization’s brand, journalism, products, and events — including the acclaimed Texas Tribune Festival. Her previous leadership roles include Vice President of Communications at the National Domestic Violence Hotline and Chief Marketing Officer at Trinity Episcopal School, where she oversaw brand strategy, internal and crisis communications, and team development. Kerri has also held senior marketing roles at St. Edward’s University, Central Texas Food Bank, KEYE-TV, Dell, and SicolaMartin, and spent over a decade as an adjunct professor in the Munday School of Business at St. Edward’s.

A freelance branding consultant, she coaches professionals and recent graduates to define and elevate their personal brands and align their online presence with career goals. Kerri holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Ethics from St. Edward’s, where she was honored as the Outstanding Graduate, and a BA in Journalism from Texas State University. A longtime member and current president-elect of Women Communicators of Austin, Kerri is passionate about mentorship, civic engagement, and creating space for the next generation of communicators to thrive.
