Sarah is an American novelist, screenwriter, and journalist. She has written eight novels, her most recent being The Gap Year, published in July, 2011, and has also written screenplays for television and film. She is a columnist for Texas Monthly, and has contributed to many other magazines including O, The Oprah Magazine; The New York Times Magazine; Real Simple; and Good Housekeeping. Sarah holds an MA in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and is the 2010 Johnston Dobie Paisano Fellow.
