A few months ago I was lucky enough to hear Tim Levy speak and was delighted by his Aussie accent; you know, from “down under” where kangaroos, koalas and dingos frolic and play. But, Aussie accent and wildlife aside, Tim shared some great information about creative thinking during his presentation and it stayed with me. When we started planning the Get Smart Conference with the theme of creativity and nurturing the muse, Tim seemed like a perfect fit. Luck was with me again when Tim accepted our invitation to be the morning Keynote Speaker for Get Smart 2011.

The best way to describe Tim? Energetic, focused, creative and truly passionate about his life’s work. One of Tim’s favorite tools to foster creativity is a method called mind mapping, where your inner child runs free, ignores all the rules and creates in an organic, random, associative process that yields amazing results. Tim describes this method and his work in his book titled “The Life Summit.” Take a look at this quick introduction video for a sneak peak:

We hope to see you at Get Smart 2011 where you will have the opportunity to meet Tim in person and soak up some of his creative genius. AWC Austin invites you to learn more about Tim as he discusses creativity and his work, at our upcoming October professional development conference. Don’t forget to register before October 2nd to receive the early bird rate.
