Get Smart 2010 would like to thank austinwoman Magazine for the generous event sponsorship. Since its initial debut in 2002, austinwoman Magazine has graced new stands, coffee shops and local venues with a publication rich with journalistic content and gorgeous advertisements.

Co-Founders, Melinda Garvey and Samantha Stevens, began austinwoman Magazine with a clear mission: to salute the high-powered, energetic, independent, fun and fascinating women of Austin. Every month a new Austin female icon is featured. Past cover girls have included Amy Miller, the woman behind the tastiest landmark in the city, Amy’s Ice Creams; advertising and media mavens Gay Gaddis, MP Mueller and Judy Maggio; political legends Molly Ivins, Liz Carpenter and Lady Bird Johnson; sports figures Jody Conradt and Bev Kearney; business leaders Mo Anderson of Keller Williams and high-end realtor Tosca Gruber; as well as internationally-known musicians Eliza Gilkyson, Ruthie Foster and Kelly Willis.

In eight years, austinwoman Magazine has grown to over 108 pages and has featured more than 1,000 remarkable Austin women in over 96 issues. No other source covers such a wide variety of topics that appeal to Austin women including the joys of wine, food, books and travel, the first calendar of events, stories on fashion, relationships and even women’s hockey.
