Alex AlmerazAlexzandra “Alex” Almeraz is a junior at Texas State University from San Antonio, Texas. She is the vice president of the Women Communicators of Austin (WCA) student group at Texas State University. She has been a member for three semesters and is studying advertising with a minor in business administration. Her expected graduation date is May 2016.

Before transferring to Texas State, Alex spent a year in New York City studying marketing and advertising at Pace University. At Texas State, she is involved in Ad Club, Social Media Club, and Renegade Roses. As part of the social media club, Alex is in charge of helping the vice president secure event speakers. In Renegade Roses—an organization where members support the Texas State Men’s Rugby team—Alex is a “rosebud” where she attends the team’s games, participates in campus events, and helps raise funds for the team.

When Alex is not studying or volunteering in her many school organizations, you can find her doing art, obsessing over pug dogs, or watching Sex & the City. After graduation, Alex hopes to have a career with an ad agency in Austin and eventually make her way back to New York City.
