She loves empowering young women. When she was in college, she owned a small retail business and freelanced as a journalist. After graduating, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Costa Rica. Best Mentee Fit:

Clarisa is frequently described as being creative and a good connector. She escribes herself as a “gentle nag” who is good at networking. Having personally benefited from WCA’s mentorship program when starting her business in 2015, she’s happy to help anyone who has questions about how to start their small business. Before starting her business, she was working in the nonprofit world in Chicago and freelanced as a journalist. She‘s happy to provide advice to students looking for internship or for people wanting to freelance, make a pivot in their career, and find ways to get engaged in their community
