Creative Manager

Overview: Lead the creative marketing department for a global leader in IoT

Liaison Creative + Marketing has an immediate full-time ongoing career opportunity for an experienced Creative Manager to join our team supporting our semiconductor client’s global marketing team. The downtown Austin client is a global leader in IoT technology that has won accolades from Austin American-Statesman, Fortune Magazine, Austin Business Journal as a top workplace, and the Greater Austin Chamber for social responsibility. As a leader on the creative services team, you’ll push boundaries of design and user experience across a variety of formats (websites, presentations, video, animations, etc.) to make a measurable impact on the company and help support key initiatives, including marketing campaigns, product launches, communications, etc. This position is partly onsite in downtown Austin (parking is provided).

• Report to the Director of Performance Marketing to drive the visual and brand identity and guide execution across  product campaigns, internally and externally
• Partner with marketing and external agencies to will bring out the best in a collaborative environment
• Manage a team of creatives responsible for the visualization of the company’s brand
• Provide modern design perspective across all campaigns driving consistency and clear standards
• Manage the creative team process from concept to completion
• Set creative direction and deliver constructive feedback on all graphic and website design, copy, video, animation, photography, promotional assets, and more behind the brand and owned properties
• Deliver engaging, interactive, on-brand experiences that support key programs and business goals
• Maintain quality and consistency across all campaigns and assets, continually thinking big picture on strategy – aligned with brand identity, tone-of-voice, and product messaging
• Create high-quality mood boards, wireframes, visual designs
• Help evolve and ensure integrity behind the brand through guidelines, deliverables, etc
• Partner with the marketing team from brief through execution including the content team to bring the content to life thru design
• Manage production calendar and provide feedback to the team responsible for hitting those deadlines
• Own the corporate brand library, including structure, updates, audits, etc
• Advise and train colleagues on brand guidelines, best practices, and emerging trends.

How to be a top candidate for this job:

• Demonstrated Creative Director or creative leadership experience in an agency, or inhouse setting in a large corporate or technology creative department
• 8-10 years of overall B2B Marketing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital media, graphic design or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in hiring and managing a creative team, agencies, and budget

Skills:

• Excellent eye for design and typography and the ability to deliver constructive feedback
• Great communicator, both in conveying design best practices and creative direction to team members
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, and Lightroom. Experience with InDesign, XD, and Illustrator, a plus
• Experience optimizing a single design across various platforms to drive deeper engagement
• Interest in relevant target markets and technology trends
• Ability to collaborate across departments and prioritize multiple projects with tight deadlines
• Self-direct on conceptual design opportunities, able to lead and thrive in ambiguity
