DeNucci & Co LLC
Patti DeNucci grew up in an entrepreneurial family where she learned valuable lessons about business and the power of being involved in the community and building solid relationships. She graduated from a branch of the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Clothing, Textiles & Design. This degree included concentrations in art and design, marketing, communications, and business. Patti moved to Austin in 1981 and spent her early career in the marketing communications/agency arena doing strategy, creative direction, copywriting, PR, and many other account management tasks.
Patti went freelance in 1989 where she focused on strategy, copywriting, and media relations. She became active in what is now WCA at that time, serving on the board for several years.
In the early 1990s Patti founded what’s now Freelance Austin. In 2001, Patti launched her own freelance talent bureau service where she matched up carefully vetted and mentored freelance & consulting talent with clients who needed their expertise.
In 2011, Patti published her first book, The Intentional Networker: Attracting Powerful Relationships, Referrals & Results in Business. That sparked her speaking and consulting career, which she still enjoys. Patti is currently working on another book on Conversation & Connection.
Best Mentee Fit:
Happy to work with anyone (preferably on an ad hoc basis) who wants to talk, explore, be challenged, collaborate, and tackle little assignments that will help her learn, grow, look at her own challenges and dreams with fresh eyes.
Patti’s specialty is being a more intentional networker, but she’s willing to explore many different types of career & life challenges. She’s been through a lot of stuff in my life and career – both the awesome and the awful.
My work with coaching and consulting clients as well as my three-year term with the National Speakers Association Chapter Leadership Counsel puts me in a terrific place to work with emerging leaders.
